Welcome 3rd year medical students!
This 2 week elective is designed for third year students interested in a general exposure to radiology. The medical student will explore multiple radiology subspecialties during the elective. The majority of the student’s time will be spent in the clinical care environment with supplemental lectures and self-instructional modules. For MS3 students to grow their understanding of principles and applications of medical imaging through case-based online radiology education integration within their required clinical clerkships. The 19 Aquifer Cases will be completed during the clinical rotations. “Flipped classroom” workshops are provided in each of the clerkships.

Welcome 4th year medical students!
This 4 week elective is designed for fourth year students interested in a general overview of radiology regardless of future residency choice. The medical student will be introduced to both the reading and procedure rooms, allowing the exploration of multiple radiology subspecialties including thoracic imaging, abdominal imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, pediatric radiology and ultrasound. The elective can be tailored to the interests of the student (ie. musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology).
The majority of the student’s time will be spent in the clinical care environment and with supplemental integrated didactic lectures and self-instructional modules.

This 2 or 4 week elective is specially designed for fourth year students interested in interventional radiology, as well as for students entering specialties such as general surgery, nephrology, or vascular surgery. This rotation is a sub-internship, with both procedural and clinical exposure.
The majority of the student’s time will be spent in the clinical care environment with supplemental integrated didactic lectures and self-instructional modules. A short presentation on a procedure or clinical condition encountered during the rotation will be expected in the last few days on service. Enrollment is by a first come basis.
